情報メディアの階層化Stratification of information media

It is necessary to consider the notion of the information media. This paper analyzes the various properties of the information media from the view of the publishing, the bibliographic description, the scientific information resources, and the copyright law.

It is considered that information media would have three main layers;the function layers, bibliographic layers, and physical layers. And further, these layers are consisted of the following sub-layers.

  1. (1) Functional layers: (a) originality (primary and secondary), (b) published or not published
  2. (2) Bibliographic layers: (a) the bibliographic level (collective, monographic, serial, and analytical), (b) the type of publication (monographic and serial)
  3. (3) Physical layer: (a) the mode of presentation (textual, graphic, and sound), (b) the mode of recording (analog and digital), (c) the form of physical recording material (paper, magnetic media, optical media, film, and sound record).
