The writer selected and analyzed a number of titles of journal articles on broadcasting in order to compile a set of indexing terms. Based on the results, the writer discusses how to provide categories and decide terms. Besides, in order to prove the effectiveness of such title analysis, the writer analyzes article titles in existing indexes, and examines the coincidence of subject headings or items. Furthermore, the writer discusses the characteristics resulted from the analysis of titles.
